Plinth: The plinth is constructed out of a solid slab of buckeye burl and it is gorgeous.. It has been dried naturally for 5 years and then placed in a kiln for 3 weeks. Also, we stabilized the wood but applying many coats of resin that is absorbed by the wood, by doing this we can prevent the wood to warp or crack over time. The thickness is about 2 inches and it has been finished with 5 coats of satin urethane.
The tt sits on a set of 3 solid brass/gold plated spikes. The total height of the tt is about 5 inches and it's about 20 inches long. Weights at about 15 pounds assembled.

Motor: The motor is a direct drive AC motor ( +- 0.003 speed fl. )enclosed in a aircraft grade aluminum, virtually dead silent. There is adjustment for speed at the top of the unit. Plays at both 33 and 45. The belt is made of a specially designed silycone.

Platter: The platter is a clear acrylic high density  disc that greately reduces feed back from vibrations.
The Platter spins on a solid stainless steel spindle and bearing and a ceramic ball bearing. The spindle and housing are a perfect reproduction of the famous Thorens 124 assembly. An original 124 bearing was placed in a laser guided machine that measured it. After the info was uploaded to a cnc machine that cut the parts out of stainless steel. We did improve it by installing a bronze retaining plate.

Tonearm: The tonearm installed on this unit is a Shure SME Series III. The tonearm wires are replaced with 33awg 99% pure solid silver wires . Included in the arm is a Ortofon SL15 cartridge. Arm comes with upgraded RCA gold plated connection.
We have other cartridges and tonearm options.

Options: Options include external power supply, tonearm upgrade,solid stainless steel platter, carbon fiber mat, record clamp, platter ring.

JVC QLA7

This JVC is in near mint shape. In our opinion probably one of the best tt's JVC made. Great performance at a very low price.
The tt features a quartz lock motor, 33 and 45 rpm and a fantastic dampened tonearm. The unit is in great shape, there is only one small scratch on the tonearm that can be seen in the 3rd picture.
The tt has a set of rca plugs in the rear, we can supply the cables if necessary.
The cartridge installed is a great sounding Ortofon SL15 in like new shape.
The cover is original in great shape with no cracks.
Like all our tt's it has been checked by our tech and found to be in perfect working order, to improve the sound we rewired the tonearm with a set of solid 99.9% pure silver wires.

Marantz 6300

Marantz 6300 turntable all original in near mint shape.
The tt was checked by our tech and found it to be in perfect working order. We replaced the circuit board caps to make sure the tt will perform like new for many years to come.
The original RCA cables were replaced with a new set of Tributaries Series 5 cables and we also installed a brand new Grado Prestige Black cartridge.
The cover is original and  free of cracks and scratches

Thorens TD124

One of a kind restoration for this Thorens TD 124.
The plinth is made out of 8 layers of baltic birch plywood and wrapped with a gorgeous Etimoe veneer, the finish is a satin urethane.
The tt was sandblasted and finished in high gloss British Racing Green.
The armboard is made out Brazilian rosewood
The tonearm is a SME3009 SeriesII improved with a Grado Master1 cartridge.
Upgrades to the stock unit:

Today we are offering a completely restored and upgraded Marantz 6300 turntable.
Our units are completely disassembled and all components are cleaned, tested, cleaned up and lubricated
The veneer of this unit was replaced with a new real wood cherry veneer that was finished with 5 coats of semi gloss urethane
The tonearm was completely  disassembled, the bearings cleaned and lubricated where necessary and the original wires replaced with Cardas high quality tonearm wires.The original cables have been replaced with a new set of Tributaries cables with gold plated RCA's.The  capacitor circuit board has been tested and components replaced where necessary.
A brand new Grado Prestige Green cartridge is also installed
The dustcover is brand new made out of 3/16 inch thick Lexan.
The original feet were replaced with a set of solid brass ( chromed) spikes

Marantz 6300 complete restoration, Etimoe veneer

Today we are offering a completely restored and upgraded Marantz 6300 turntable.
Our units are completely disassembled and all components are cleaned, tested, cleaned up and lubricated

After disassembling the TT we stripped the old  veneer and applied a new real wood Etimoe veneer to the plinth.  We don't use contact cement or other armful chemicals to apply the veneer, instead we use a new product that bonds the veneer perfectly without the need of solvents. After that we applied a 4 coats of poly  primer and after sending we finished  it with 5 coats  of semi gloss poly clear finish to preserve the beauty and enhance the characteristics of this beautiful wood.
The tonearm was completely  disassembled, the bearings cleaned and lubricated where necessary and the original wires replaced with Cardas high quality tonearm wires.The original cables have been replaced with a new set of Petras cables with gold plated RCA's.The  capacitor circuit board has been tested and components replaced where necessary.
The dustcover is brand new, made out of 3/16" thick Lexan. The cartridge is a new Denon DL110
( $ 139) with a  new stylus.
